And yes, I enjoyed this day so much that I was walking down the main street singing passionately to Frank Sinatras 'You turned my world around'! :)

First day of Freedom
I swear I haven't edited any of those photos! The colours and the lighting are all natural!!!
As I've posted in a previous post my boyfriend flew 34 hours just to be with me here in New Zealand (<3) and we went on a trip around the south island. We had some issues with my family, so we both were more than relieved to finally leave everything behind and spend almost three weeks on a bus tour. It was just AMAZING!!!
These are photos of our first day on tour, taken at Mount Cook, where some scenes of the Lord of the Rings movies were shot. It was just stunning! The feeling of total freedom overwhelmed both of us; the endless space and massive mountains, the intense colour of the sky and the plain colours of the grass and the rocks; we felt like we'd own the world.
And, as mentioned earlier, I'm SO glad my camera could captivate a little bit of the magical atmosphere we could experience. Aww, I'm missing it so much just by looking at the photos.
And if you guys ever want to travel in New Zealand or Asia, consider travelling with Stray. I promise you'll meet interesting and fun people on the bus and the drivers have definitely done their homework and will make your journey unforgettable!

Live a little
This is exactly how I want to live and how I try to live. In fact everyone should live like that. We should be aware that we have commitments and jobs we should take seriously though, but that doesn't mean we can't live a little. How about talking to this girl with the beautiful dress and saying: "Hi, I'm Johanna and I love your dress! (Can I take a photo for my blog?) " and getting to know interesting people? Get your old bicycle out and cycle to this romantic little picnic-spot you've always dreamed of! Buy this rad handbag you look at every day! Dance to your favourite song, no matter where you are or who could see you! Stay up all night to talk about anything and everything with your best friend! Stand up and stand by your own opinions, don't repeat other peoples thoughts!
Come on, get pro-active and live a little!

The magic of music
The best thing about music
when it fills you you feel ecstatic.
Music is the strongest form of magic
just enjoy it, and love it !
when it fills you you feel ecstatic.
Music is the strongest form of magic
just enjoy it, and love it !
I own a T with this slogan and I love it. It's just completely and entirely true! Everyone has music in their lives! We need music to keep us going, to make us dance, to keep us company when we think about someone we miss, to give us the right rythm when we run.. Music is everywhere and for me it is as important as the air I breathe. Okay, I tend to exaggerate, sometimes, maybe, but I could not imagine living in a world without music!
The artist I want to feature in this post certainly does have this certain je n sais quoi! She is only 19 years old and has only released two solo tracks so far, but she is definitely one of the young, brilliant and auspicious but yet unknown artists worth supporting and listening to!
Nikita Quasim started making music on the day of her mother’s 40th birthday.
She was only 11 years old. Not knowing what to give her, she recorded
the sound of her laundry machine with imovie, unable to find any other
program that could layer sounds. She ended up creating a dense 10 minute
weaving of household chaos. She is of Russian and Afghan descent.
It is almost impossible for me to decide if I like her own music or the music she listed as her inspiration more (I would choose her music, since I fell in love with it). It is just incredible intelligent, fascinating, captivating, and every time I put either her own creations or her Inspirationpodcast on when I go to sleep, I stay awake until it's finished no matter how tired I am, I just don't want to miss any second of it!
If you have listened and enjoyed this kind of music you will probably like to check out Nicolas Jaars music as well. It is definitely worth it! I promise!

Inspiration
Isn't this dress just stunning? I met Madeline in a little Café and couldn't take my eyes off her dress. It's so eye-catching! She looked so fabulous and she definitely found the perfect balance by playing the bright and luscious orange down with some black boots and simple yet classy jewelry.
I've always loved watching beautiful people walking by when I was little and I dreamed about all the beautiful clothes I would wear when I was big. I guess streetstyle has always been a great inspiration to me. Madeline is just the perfect example why. I was so bored that day and her dress was inviting me to talk to her. That totally made my day!
